I'd say this article has a bit of an odd outlook on transitivity. There are some situations where if A implies B, and B implies C, thus A implies C. There are other situation where this is not the case.
A - Microsoft
B - Akamai
C - Linux
If Microsoft contracts with Akamai, and Akamai uses Linux, Microsoft is not using Linux.
