What are some of your favorite/worst sports memories?
Here are some of mine..
When I was a little kid, I begged my parents to take me to a Braves vs Dodgers game in L.A. ( Me being a braves fan from the L.A. area.) I begged and cried for about 2 weeks. Finally, the day of the game came, and my parents told me that we would not be able to make it. I was crushed. So later on the day, I turned on the T.V. to watch the game.
The Date: April 8th, 1994.
The Occasion: Kent Mercker became the 2nd Atlanta Brave ever to throw a no-hitter.
About 4 years ago, I went to an Angel game with a couple of buddies of mine. They were playing the Boston Red Sox and we were sitting right next to the right field foul pole. At about the 6th inning, Trot Nixon comes up and hits a towering fly ball our way. I reach over my seat and catch the ball in my glove. I got an ovation from the crowd.
