I just saw the first ep of FLCL last night, myself. I was quite entertained. I gave up on the plot almost right away, and just enjoyed the style, and bad puns. Plus the whole manga sequence was hilarious. I will probably be spending my hard-earned cash on this DVD...It's just too strange/excellent to pass up.
