Whenever you hear about a drug bust's value, the police break it down to street value. For example, if a gram was to cost $10 and they confiscated 28 grams (an ounce) they would say it was $280 worth of marijuana, when in actuality (is that even a word or is it spelled wrong?) chances are it would have been sold as a whole (bulk) for much much less like $100.
Also the plants weigh a lot more than what the actual end harvest would be. A plant that weighs 10 lbs can be trimmed of all the useless (I know I know, hemp isn't useless) parts and weigh considerably less. It also needs to be cured (or dried out for lack of a better term) which also decreases the weight. They don't take any of this into consideration and just weigh the plants and break it down to gram (or lowest quantity usually sold) values, or they just count the plants and estimate the weight per plant and break that amount down.
Its funny how the DEA and/or police try to make themselves sound like they found warehouses full of drugs when it was probably just a half acre garden.

That all depends on how big you want the joint to be. I've pencil packed an exact half ounce into a phillies blunt (cigar that is hollowed out and filled with pot) before. I've also had rolled 10 joints out of a half ounce too. It all varies.
Schwag is just commercial pot. It is grown outdoors and usually contains seeds, it isn't as potent as the strands that most people seem to smoke these days. The stuff you see in High Times magazine and that they have in Amsterdam is refered to as "Kind". That is the rockstar shit.
