I was at work, dress code is slacks and golf shirt, typical stuff.
I'm also a hobbyist glassblower and I like to use the stuff I make. I had a glass that I thought was thick enough to absorbe heat and not crack.
Well, I take this nice cup (deepest sapphire blue, with a red spiral wrap, just gorgeous) over to the break room and dump a packet of cocoa mix into the bottom. I walk over to the coffee machine, grab the hot water spigot, and start pouring Really Hot Water.
Lo and behold, the bottom of the cup explodes, showering the lower half of me with glass, hot water, and cocoa mud. Well SHIT.
I had to clean everything up and bolt home and change, it was awful, I had to keep explaining to people when I came back about where I had gone and why...
