I'll try turning off the auto focus. I assumed that since I was focusing on infinity, that the camera was setting the focus to infinity. I'm using a 5 Mp Sony F717. I'm still exploring the manual settings. The EV compensation and auto-bracketing is really nice, but I don't quite have the hang of getting the right settings to start with in low light. Heck, I'm only just starting to get the hang of it in normal light.
