What do you mean Ving played a good Kingpin? Michael Clark Duncan played Kingpin, and they have gotten a lot of slack for having a black man play the Kigpin, however they said themselves if they could have found someone better they would have. They searched high and low and Michael Clark Duncan was the best man for the job, even if his skin didn't match that of the comic book characters. It still worked just fine.
And yeah, there were a hell of a lot of fanboy references. The one thing I liked most, though, was that some of the scenes in the movie were taken directly from the comic book. It was a very nice touch.

Sorry i was watching Pulp Fiction earlier and Ving was on my mind. And I know Elektra isn't 'dead', read the comics too, it was nice how she was 'killed' in the same way but really, she still served no purpose. To top it off it seemed as though the director was trying to rip-off quality shots from Alex Proyas' The Crow (a film which is infinitely superior).
