I just got a call from a friend who said that our buddy Juliette fell asleep behind the wheel while returning from Reggae on the River, an outdoor weekend-long Reggae festival in Humboldt County. I'm really shocked right now, almost too much to shed a tear. I'd say the saddest part is knowing how beautiful of a girl that the world just lost. She was only 19, maybe 20 by now. I havn't seen her since we graduated highschool but that kind of described our relationship. We weren't friends of the same crowd, we just really enjoyed eachother, most of the time spent laughing. She came from a hippy-ish family who lived in a town next to mine who's families were always looked down upon because they didn't have as much money as ours. So I'm sure she had to deal with that kind of BS as she grew up but if anything it just stregnthened her and her brothers and made her even more true. You know, many times on different forums I read about early deaths of friends and family. I'm sure that each one of them has been an amazing individual, but of my collection of people that I could be here posting about dying, this is one of those that I will truly miss and know that most every one of you would have enjoyed her caringness and goofiness.
Enlighten your day and go ahead and call some of your friends that you havn't spoken to in a while. I'd pay just about anything to talk to her one last time, even just to tell her the latest joke.
