Abstract
This section should summarize you experiments, results and conclusions. It should also mention the method used (briefly). Remember to include your overall conclusions here. Keep in mind that scientists do not like to be kept in suspense; they want to know that 'the butler did it' from the beginning. They will read further to find out how and why.
This paragraph should summarizes the entire paper so a reader can go through it and know if this report is of interest to her/him. Therefore 1-2 sentences should be devoted to each section of your report:
a) What is the biological principle being examined and your question concerning it? (Introduction)
b) What approach will you take to answer this question? (Methods)
c) What were your major findings? (Results)
d) What were your overall conclusions? (Discussion)
