I'm kinda new to this but let me bring up two points.
If you're from out of state I believe you need to get a MA license if you will be residing here. I quote this from the GOAL.org site:
Quote:
Do nonresidents need this license?
The only time a non-resident may bring a handgun into Massachusetts without a license (other than traveling through the state enroute to another destination) is for pistol or revolver competition, or as a law-enforcement person on official duty. You cannot come into the state to practice with your handgun without a License to Carry.
Non-residents can apply for a "Temporary License to Carry Firearms," which is issued by the Firearms Records Bureau. To request an application, call (617) 660-4780.

Also be aware that, licensed or not, magazines with a capacity of greater than 10 rounds are banned in the city of Boston. My instructor made this very clear, you don't even have to have a gun on you, the magazine is enough to land you in hot water.
Anyway just a couple points to keep in mind.
