In principle, yes. However, you may not know that Berkeley has a rather well-known conservative movement that has gained much traction of late. David Brock, the author of the right-wing smears against Anita Hill, was part of that movement.
At any rate, Berkeley may be "liberal", but Stanford and Maryland much, much less so. At any rate, how does Berkeley's involvement in a study invalidate it? Aside from the fact that Berkeley is "liberal", I mean.
