Thing is, people are making statements about gay kids being divided from straight kids and so forth. Bear in mind that this is a school that only has room for 140 people. Also bear in mind that this isn't a new thing. The Harvey Milk School has been around since 1984, it's just that this is the first time it gets public funding.
I think it's a bad idea for several reasons, but if someone really feels they can't go to a reular school because they are tormented for their sexuality, it could be a valid choice. That's my 2 cents anyway
