		 Hubs simply allow computers to connect to one another over a network. 
 
Routers are used to distribute an IP's bandwidth to computers behind the router.  Routers also act as a firewall. 
 
So, if you're looking to share an internet connection (ie DSL or cable) between a bunch of computers, get a router. 
 
If you only want to network some computers together, use the hub, or better off, get a switch (switches do the same thing as a hub, but faster).
