I never once said I was doing it to express my individuality. I'm doing the mods I want because I like my car, but there are subtle things about it that I'd like to change, such as the mirrors, wheels, etc.

To express my individuality, I simply am the person I am. I don't conform to anything; if something within society happens to fit me and my opinions or styles, then I'll go with it, but that doesn't make me a conformist. Seriously, how many life-long skateboarders do you know who have never done any drugs and are die-hard Republicans and are into body building and are big computer geeks and are gear heads and mountain bike 100 miles or more a week and are fitness geeks? Even if I have things about me that are similar to others out there, I'm absolutely one of a kind, and so will be my car.

Another thing that is really saddening to me is the lack of men that seem to be lurking around here. Real men don't buy everything already made and finished. Real men buy things and modify them to exactly fit their own tastes. Whether it's a car or a motorcycle or even a house, real men don't leave anything alone. We were made to create, modify, and completely rebuild things as a way of not only self-expression, but also as a means of technological and human evolution. Any so-called man who doesn't understand this, who buys a car and leaves it as-is, who buys stereo speakers instead of building them, who pays for a deck to be built instead of buying the wood and nails and doing it himself is not a real man. A real man does shit for himself, he doesn't watch or pay others to do it. A real man plays football instead of watching it on TV and idolizing other men half his age. A real man knows how to do more than check his oil and fill up his gas tank. Being a man is about taking an idea or an object and making it your own, even if society chooses to shun or laugh at you for doing it the way you want to. If I was a bitch like most of you, I'd take your worthless insults as gospil and sell my car and buy whatever one you all thing I should and do to it whatever you tell me to. However, I chose to keep the car I have, modify it in any way I want, and tell you all to eat my ass. That's what being a real man is all about.
