I've got a Canondale that I use for mainly long distance hauls (not a huge fan of DH, though I've done it several times).

I've gone biking around SF a few times (Mt. Tamalpais, etc.), not a lot, but I never had the chance to go up to N*, though I was dying to.

I spend a fair bit of time in the Appalachain Trail, as it's not horrible. Anyone know of any good places in the mid-atlantic region to go mountain biking?
