I could never get used to contacts. I have strange hours and I could never get used to the feel. I never minded the glasses, but it was a pain not to be able to see the time and shaving blind was getting old. They would get in the way during the occaisional social interaction.
Bottom line, I got LASIK and I love it. But research it before you do it. I heard from an ophthomologist to make sure you get it done with wavefront technology which is not all that widely available yet. And so far, it costs a lot more.
