I can't recall when American Football / Hockey, as part of its own sporting charter goes out of its way to assist the development of the game in thrid world countries. Food for thought.

There are already hockey leagues in other countries, and the NFL has NFL Europe. Besides, why does the NFL need to spread itself out when it's already making a lot of money right now and takes priorities by focusing more on how things are run. They also are working on establishing things like the AFL and are also helping with many national youth programs.
MLB on the other hand is a complete joke. One of the reasons why teams are "developing the game" in the Carribean and Americas is that they don't need to draft the talent they create there. Meanwhile, the good sports players in the good ol' USA are going to basketball and football instead of baseball because of all the "developing" MLB is doing. Oh, and it's dirt cheap too, forgot to mention that part.

One day an Englishman, a Scotsman, and an Irishman walked into a pub together. They each bought a pint of Guinness. Just as they were about to enjoy their creamy beverage, three flies landed in each of their pints. The Englishman pushed his beer away in disgust. The Scotsman fished the fly out of his beer and continued drinking it, as if nothing had happened. The Irishman, too, picked the fly out of his drink but then held it out over the beer and yelled "SPIT IT OUT, SPIT IT OUT, YOU BASTARD!"
