As the day becomes night
I think of the day
The night becomes light
I wish it were dark
The dark leaves me groggy
I run to the noise
The noise hurts my ears
I turn on the light
My ears hear the switch
I close my two eyes
I flick off the switch
And wander inside
Inside it is musty
I grab for a coat
The musty old walls
Where old pictures hang
I look to the pictures
And see one of you
The one of you smiling
When one was still you
Smiling inside I walk to the light
No more I'm afraid I skip and I dance
The light holds the key
To all that I fear
The key to the door
I keep looking for

her sweet song of laughter
floats through the air
