Well, Some displays will support VGA Video on the RGB inputs, But it has to have 5 connectors R,G,B,H,V. If your display does support VGA graphics then all you need is a VGA to RGB brakeout cable. Then set the resolution to 800x600 and the display should work.
That is, If the display supports computer graphics. What is the make and model number of the display?
