The thing to remember, here and anywhere else religion is discussed, that there is a major difference between the faith and the organizations that support it or are supported by it. Belief in in Christianity and the Catholic Church are not the same. The Church may be guilty of all sorts of wackiness in your view, but the belief system in itself has done nothing.
Compare religion to race. Why is it okay to lump all Christians into the same pot, but it isn't okay to lump all Blacks/Hispanics/Asians/etc? Where is the difference? I know more than a few folks who call themeselves Christian (or one of the various attendant branches). They all act differently, have different agendas, differng intensity of faith, etc. Yet they are all tarred by the same brush if you listen to the standard atheist screed.
"and eventually the origin of all religions....Kabbalah"
Erm, I could be wrong. It's been a while since I left college, and I never studied Qaballah heavily, but I recall pre-Aryan fire-god worship in India predating pretty much every other religion by about a thousand years. As I said, I could be wrong....
