the receipt idea is indeed very smart....instant results, but ones that can be verified manually.
Spot checks, and random physcial audits need to be in place anytime we're using machines as a short cut. Anyone who's gotten screwed on a scantron test in school knows this...that the government has to be reminded is pretty silly.
