I keep a 1L bottle of water with me at the computer at all times. I drink a sip every now and then. I usually go through 2 a day during the summer (when I don't go out, I hang around the house drinking water). That is about 8 glasses or so of water a day. It is probably more than I need, buy my room is hot due to its small size and the computer emmitting heat, so I sweat. I sometimes eat some salt if I sweat a lot and drink a lot of water, just incase my sodium is low. I have heard of a woman that went into a coma because she kept drinking too much pure water and her sodium levels fell too low. She was also running a marathon or something and sweating out a lot of sodium.
