There hs been a huge influx of new blood in tfp, and a lot of repeats of the same mistakes we all made when we were new here. I know that when I was n00b, I would have benefitted from a guiding hand, a more experienced mentor, to help make my intergration into tfp less stressful.
I'm calling on the veterans out there... you know who you are, to take the newbies under your wing. Pick a Forum, and grace us with the wisdom of your experience in posting there. I'll start:
When posting to Tilted Humor, always remember:
1) If you found it on the internet, we've already heard it.
2) If you heard it in a bar, we've already heard it.
3) If you saw it on TV, you are lame. (and we've already heard it)
4) Replying with "LOL" to every thread is a great way to get your post count to skyrocket and get your avatar quicker. (who, me? no no no no no)
5) Witty replies like "Wow! that's twice as funny as the first 168 times I heard it" make you appear mean and petty... and are lot's of fun.
6) Relax, have fun.... and you better laugh at Jadzia's jokes if you know what's good.....er...um.... never mind!
Who's next?
