most people just listen to the same stuff over and over, and disregard lots of other things (most folks dismiss country) for the plain reason that they are prejudice. Prejudice (and conceit, a lot of the time) of sorts is really what keeps anyone from enjoying all kinds of music.
If it jives with me, I'll listen to it. I listent to pop, classical, metal, reggae, rock, rap, hardcore, punk, funk, techno, anything that jives me. If you just give it enough time, you can dig anything. So if anything, it's not your music that shows your personality, its your personality that determines your music.
