Not trying to be a dick but I think you should reconsider your tire size. I've been around hondas for awhile and know that 205/40/17 is the max you should go on a civic. 17s usually look too big on a hatch anyway. Sure they'll fit under there (barely), but you'll most likely rub. Not to mention that the overall diameter is larger than the factory wheel/tire diameter. This will actually lift your car off the ground more. lowering will help but not as much as you think because the civic wheel well is pretty small. Actually that 215/40/17 tire will probably fill your entire wheel well without lowering.
