Or put the 6x9's in addition to your other speakers, maybe under the seats or some such thing.
Or splurge and go with some decent 5 1/4, and get some 6 or 8" woofers if you have a decent enough amp. Bass can be put anywhere (be it car or home stereos), and if you have decent speakers for the high and midrange your system should sound good.
