The problem is that he's not the kind of person who is capable of handling this kind of attention. Some people take a moderately embaressing thing (and this is only moderately embaressing), and turn it into something positive and enjoyable for them. Others build up on that embaressment, and turn it into something extremely negative and damaging.
I know; I've done both. Fortunately I've been able to develop a far more positive outlook on the way things happen in my life, and subsequently feel that I can handle issues such as this one. On the other hand, this kid is most likely on the opposite end of the spectrum.
I believe his parents are foolish for suing though.
