It's very poetic. Find out if she wrote it or if it is by a famous ( or even a little known ) poet. If so, it could just be a quirky way of saying IM ASLEEP. I used to be silly with some of the msgs I would leave in AIM and my gf, now fiance ( who lives 800 miles away ) would ask me what I meant by it. I never left the msgs specifically aimed at her, I was just in a goofy mood, and usually just got through reading some poetry or movie quotes. Communication Communication Communication. Just ask her, if its nothing then you can stop stressing. The two of you may get a laugh over it. If it is something more, then it is right there in the open and you two can talk about it.
