Haiku
I
Sitting; my silence
The silence of concrete, steel
Beauty deafening.
II
Fire burns within
Consuming, replenishing
Phoenix; I; reborn
III
Dark of night piercing
Through false lights of humble home
I yearn for the sun.
IV
Prostrate, aching, hurt
The world tells me I'm alive
Thank you for screaming.
V
Bark of tree protects;
Bark of dog frightens away;
Humanity kills.
VI
Stream rollicks through trees
Bubbling, trickling, murmuring
Eyes tear once again.
VII
Forests are burning
The black sky cries acid tears
We shall be as gods.
VIII
Sleep looms upon me
Bends, whispering sweet nothings
Day light all too soon.
