Oh man, where do I start? Last year was my first year at this school, and not knowing the area and not wanting to stay in the dorms I moved into an on campus apartment complex they had. It was a nice place, pricey, 4 bedrooms two baths. One of my roommates was really cool, the other one was a bum spoiled by his parents to no end. The good roommate and I lived in the downstairs rooms, and the bum lived upstairs. The bum would ditch class to play Playstation2 all day "I rented the game and I only have 5 days to beat it", him and his friends would chew tobacco and spit into open beer bottles and leave the bottles uncapped, waiting to be knocked over, they would eat food wherever and throw their trash on the floor. Clean Up? Why would he waste time doing that when he has two roommates that get tired of it before he does? The landlady did an inspection of the apartment while we were gone over Thanksgiving break. She mentioned the kitchen was drity, the cabinet, stove, refrigerator, and dishawasher were all dirty. She gave us a month to have everything rectified. I looked at the dishwasher and saw all the food and beer spattered on it that I didn't have a chance to clean yet and knew she had a point. His reaction? "Dude, that bitch is so stupid. The dishwasher is self cleaning. Turn it on and it cleans itself." She wasn't talking about the inside you moron!!! His mom spoiled him relentlessly. New PS2, new shoes new coat, whatever he wanted he asked his mom and got it. Don't even get me started on the drinking. He was 19 and him and his friends got drunk every night, kept odd hours, were loud at all hours. While my good roommate and I would be away at home, he would have insane parties where his friends would pretend the walls were rock climbing walls and scuff the fuck out of them. By the end of the year there was enough damage that the bill split three ways per the contract came out to $800 a person. Not to mention he still owes me $200 for a tv.
