Why don't you make it a track car? Gut the interior, put a recaro race seat in there, 5-point harness, drop the GS-R/Type-R motor in there, get some race compound tires, and TRACK that thing!
I went to a racetrack with a few buddies of mine, and a hatchback civic passed me up in the corners. It's a fun little car if you just get the proper equipment. That is, unless you're into just the looks.
