If you want to burn out and look like a fool, then go right ahead. I'll have more fun taking twisty country blacktop while you're getting your well-deserved ticket.

You have no clue what I stand for, so maybe you should realize that before you start flinging personal attacks about me and my principles. I'll start by saying drag racing in a street legal car is for chumps that can't drive and burn outs do nothing but wear out clutches, transmissions, and tires. I have never once street raced as endangering other peoples lives is not my idea of fun. Performance means more than straight line speed. I'm glad you are into handling. So am I. I drive a '95 Civic HB as my daily driver so I know the capabilities of it pretty well and know that it understeers like a pig. You can make it handle better, but you can never make it handle what I would consider good. So go peddle all that handling propaganda to somebody that doesn't know any better.
Here is my performance car:
I have watched so called 'good handling' Civics nearly go off road trying to follow me when I wasn't even pushing it. I take turns at speeds Civic drivers wish they could. I know handling, and how to get around turns quickly, and a Civic is not the best way to do it.
I don't have anything against you personally, but I saw the start of what I know to be a bad road. I've peeled kids from around trees because the mods they made to their cars didn't help the driveabilty at high speeds, a lot of them made them worse. I saw in another thread (after my original post) that you have some handling issues covered, and that you will be replacing the engine to back up the aggressive looks you are getting ready to put on it. I'm glad. Everything else I have is just personal preferences of mine and don't enter into it in this situation, because I have already said it is your car to do with as you please especially once you have taken care of safety issues. I may not have posted my first message if I had seen your other thread first. Upon review I also missed the post where you mentioned putting the motor in, so I wouldn't have asked the "all show, no go" question if I would learn to read properly.
I tell you what, let me know when you get it built like you want it. I'll drive down to St. Louis or meet you half way and give you a ride in the MR2 in exchange for a ride in your Civic. I love cars and would love to see what you can do with it. I've been in the little poser versions and I've seen the ones that are built for handling, but I've never actually been in one that was done with handling in mind. This is not meant as a "I'll show you what handling is all about" challenge, but as a real sharing of information and broadening of horizons.
And about the racist comment, that is the most rediculous statement I have heard in a long time. Especially considering you don't even know if I'm Asian or not. Again I feel the need to point out that a little knowledge about me before making personal statements would help alot.
evo_schen: Fair enough. I don't consider all Japanese cars rice. Note in this post that I have 2 myself currently and have owned nothing but Japenese cars for the last 12 years.
