The thing is, people like civics because of the way them look, not because of the way they perform (to a certain extent).
If he wanted something balls out fast for cheap, he would buy some old camaro or a DSM.
What would seem silly to me, would be to dump a bunch of money into this car for performance. I mean think about it, A jackson supercharger kit probobly costs upwards of $3000 and it would still be a 15 second car. You can buy an entire "fast car" like I mentioned above for that price.
