Talk about eating for mental health; I'm one of those people who wakes up with the creeping awfuls every day; you know, when you feel like everything's awful, the day is hopeless and you might as well stay in bed, even when it's not really that bad. It goes away after a while, but it's a lousy way to start the day. Anyway, somebody talked me into eating yogurt daily for health a couple of weeks ago (my wife, actually) and the awfuls have decreased markedly.
I don't recommend this for everybody; maybe I was simply missing something I needed. Just wanted to use this as an example that sometimes food really can affect your mental state.
