Peter Ostrum, who played Charlie in Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory, never acted again. He later went on to become a veterinarian.
He was offered a five picture contract after Willy Wonka, but turned it down.
As a matter of fact, out of all the wonka kids, Julie Dawn Cole (Veruca Salt) is the only one still acting.
