Speaking of the Beatles, the original band lineup was:
John Lennon
Paul McCartney
George Harrison
Pete Best
and Stuart Sutcliffe.
Stuart was John's best friend but left the band because he fell in love with Atsrid Kirchherr and went to follow her bohemian lifestyle. Pete Best was replaced with Ringo right before they hit it big.
Also, there's a movie about Stuart and his story called "Backbeat."
