Alright here's the story.
My dad has Windows 2000 pro and has locked himself out. It asked him to change his password, so he did, but must have fat-fingered it, so he doesn't know what it is. I thought I put a backdoor in, since I set it up, but apparently didn't.
D'oh!!
Here's the question:
Is there a way to get in or crack the password?? I tried loading in safe-mode, but it still asked for a PW. Last known good won't work either since he succesfully logged in.
I've racked my brain, but can't think of any solutions. Of course I just got home from golfing, so I've had a couple of beers to help cloud my thinking.
I know I could load the Emergency Repair Disk, if I had made one. (Hindsight is 20/20 isn't it??
)
The only thing I can think of is to re-load the OS.
