take out your cd rom drive. and plug the 120gb in. this will be temporary don't worry.
You will have 3 drives. do your transfers.
Warning. Do not mess around with your C drive (or your boot partition).
Once you're done. plug out the non-boot 40gb hard disk. plug your cd rom in it's place. sell your extra 40gb.
would be alot more helpful if you can tell us how you partition your existing drives. also what o/s yer on. but anyways ...
