sus, mimi, and I have been running our site for over 6 years. it's all about our lives - public and private. Sus and I have been artists all our lives. That's about putting your stuff in front of the public - strangers if you will. Mimi was a shy person who released her shyness to become an exhibition-ist for the cam.
Your question is an interesting one in that it has never occurred to me to think of it like that. Neither have we ever discussed it among the 3 of us. I guess it comes so naturally with the territory that one just thinks of the audience as just that: "the audience".
