I missed a RHCP concert back in '91 with 2 unknown bands opening. Those bands were Pearl Jam and Smashing Pumpkins.
I saw Rage Against the Machine and Tool at Lollapalooza '93 when they had each just come out with their first albums.
I've seen Reverend Horton Heat about 15 times and they haven't gotten any bigger (though they've been selling out clubs for over 10 years).
