100+ gigs, well over 17,000 tracks at this point.
Still lots of 128s in there, but I replace those as time allows with higher quality stuff. Newsgroups, Napster, Morpheus, Kazaa; they've all been my friends, but I buy music like crazy and always have. I still have 10 crates of vinyl, boxes of tapes and well over 3,000 CDs. A huge part of my MP3s are ripped from those sources so I don't have to wear down the originals - especially with hard-to-find material like a Buckingham/Nicks album or something like that...
I have specifically bought a ton of music because of things I stumbled across online. There's a Canadian band called The Watchmen, specifically, who would probably be very happy their stuff ended up online, as I own 4 of their CDs now. Same goes for people like Jim's Big Ego, Martin Sexton...the list goes on and on. With no good radio stations anymore (thanks a TON, ClearChannel...), P2P is how I hear new things these days and if I like it, I go buy it. Just like if I heard it on the radio.
