This problem is similar to the problems that drove a brilliant mathematician to repeated nervous breakdowns and insanity.
It doesn't really make sense. It's just mindfuck really, but it works out mathematically.
If you guys want, I can probably write a small proof, or I can ask my teacher next semester to do it for me, since he really knows what he is talking about.
