I saw a blurb in my local paper the other day about the active leader for at-bats without a triple. It said that 2 players had gotten their first triple this year so the new active leader had 900+ at-bats without a triple. The other two players had 2400 and 1300 respectively without a triple. I just wondered, since the triple is probably the hardest hit to get, who holds the all-time record for at-bats before their first career triple?
