I think the main reason is hygiene...I don't know about anybody else, but there always seem to be just a few drops left.
Besides that, though, it's generally uncomfortable (to me) because Sam and the Twins are able to move all around while I walk.
Finally, I wear a lot of jeans, which are a bit harsh on the skin. I've gone commando several times but every time I'm always glad to go back to "tighty whities" or, at least, boxers (which I usually reserve for when I'm lounging in the house).
