I say life without parole. Nobody's learning anything when they're dead. Sure, they'll have to deal with the thoughts that they're gonna die and all that, but that's only temporary compared to living the rest of your days in a prison where you get to go outside an hour a day or something and the rest of your time is spent indoors with a bunch of people you like/hate/whatever.. An english teacher of mine used to teach in one of the bigger prisons here, and according to her, it's harder than TV would have you believe. In some ways it is worse than death.
