Ottawa is also a great to live to place to live and to raise a family. The vast majority of the people living here are friendly and helpful. You can think of Ottawa as being dull and boring (unfortunately not a lot to do in the city regarding nightlige), but it provides you with the things one might take for granted such as good quality of life and low crime rate. Also we are in the middle between Montreal and Toronto so both cities are within 2-5 hours drive, respectively. The major drawback: it gets really cold in the winter so it will take some time to adjust.
