Most you can just pop the keys off (careful with the space bar, some keyboards have a funky wire holding it on) and you can clean it with a few q-tips and a damn cloth.
I have a terrible time cleaning mine, its always filthy.
I've heard things about cans of air (you can get them in the computer section of most stores) and you can just spray all the junk out, as long as its not sticky.
