If there was that much of a difference in money going into the marriage, I would definately get a prenup. Why should she get a million dollars during a divorce for money that you earned without her. I'd also be fine signing a prenup the other way around.
The way I see it, if you really want to be together forever, then it should make no difference. It should be done in such a way that makes both parties comfortable though, and really should only cover such big differences as money coming into the relationship, or big inheritances to one party at some point during a relationship.
The person with the $$$ has a responsibility too to really commit to the relationship while they are in it, and not just horde their money as some sort of "backup" plan in case of divorce. If you have a 2 million dollar nest egg sitting there, perhaps you are more likely to just take off as opposed to working on your marriage.
