Phred, a friend and I are probly going to stick a webcam (somehow) that watches his fish tank 24/7, and when he's not home we'll jack up the bandwidth and let her go. Get a little betta and stick the camera on it while your gone!
Or go for a nice big saltwater setup, though you may wanna flush a few grand down the pot before you do to prepare.
