As you can see by the responses it all depends on what you are looking for in place to live. If you are looking for a laidback lifestyle where you can get all outdoorsy definately go to Vancouver.
However, if you are looking for an urban experience then Toronto or Montreal are really the way to go (not that you can't get to some very stunning outdoors just a short drive from Toronto - just no really big mountains is all).
